Home sales decreased by 27.2% in El Paso County for the month of January when compared to December and sales were 3% higher when compared to January 2011.
There were only 14 additional single family home sales in January 2012 when compared to January 2011. There were also an additional 1,169 single family homes for sale in January 2011. Inventory levels continue to remain much lower than they were around this time last year in Colorado Springs.
Compared to the previous month of December, both the average sales price ($204,814) and the median sales price ($172,250) decreased. Last January, the average sales price was $210,879 and the median sales price was $180,000.
