Home sales decreased in El Paso County by 4.9% for the month of September when compared to the previous month of August. Compared this time last year, single family home sales nearly 16% higher.
There were 190 fewer single family home sales in September 2015. Compared to the previous month of August, the average sales price ($291,342) and the median sales price ($264,000) slightly decreased. Last September, the average sales price was $267,612 and the median sales price was $240,000. Competition among home buyers remains fierce in the current real estate market; many sellers are receiving multiple offers and selling their homes within days of putting them on the market.
